The International Festival of Animated Film in Stuttgart (ITFS) celebrates its 25th anniversary edition! The ITFS has evolved into one of the world's leading events for animated film and presents a full, up-to-date spectrum of animated filmmaking and its intersections with visual effects, architecture, art, design, music and games. The ITFS offers a platform to directors, production companies and distributors where they can showcase their films and transmedia projects to an interested, broad audience and numerous industry representatives. With the unique combination of the Festival of Animated Film, the Animation Production Day, and the distinguished industry conference FMX, the event has become an important platform for the financing and development of animation projects.
A total of more than 70,000 EUR in prize money is awarded in the various competition sections.
Be part of ITFS18 and submit your film till December 1, 2017! Animated films produced after October 1, 2016 can be submitted to the following competition categories:
International Competition (International short film competition)
Young Animation (International student film competition)
Tricks for Kids – shorts and series (International competition for short films and TV series for children)
AniMovie (International feature-length film competition)
Submission deadline: December 1, 2017
Animated short films can also be nominated for the Amazon Audience Award.
