Présentation de l'événement
Doclisboa is a festival dedicated to documentary cinema, seeking to highlight new forms of thinking, of viewing the world and communicating. The festival gives priority to films that have not yet been released in Portugal both in the case of Portuguese as well as foreign films. The aim of the festival is to allow a more profound reflection upon contemporary themes and current affairs, thus stimulating new debates. Doclisboa also focuses on breaking new ground and on the great diversity and vitality of this “cinema of reality”.
Organised in the second half of October by Apordoc, every year DocLisboa presents previews of the best documentaries of the latest season bringing together a series of out of competition programmes, and includes retrospectives of internationally acclaimed filmmakers.
The festival’s master classes are open to the public and free of charge. Informal get togethers with the directors stimulate dialogue between professionals and the public.
During the festival, participants can also attend and take part in the International Co production Forum, Lisbon Docs (pitching), the docbreakfasts for professionals and the daily Happy Hour, Guest meet Guest.
