Cablenet is a private telecommunications company founded in 2003 which provides telecommunication services and entertainment to the public and business worlds.
It is the only company in Cyprus offering cable connection which, in its short period of operation, has built a remarkable tele¬communications network.
Apart from home use packages, Cablenet offers a wide range of products and solutions for businesses. Cablenet’s backbone optical fibre network within Cyprus is fully redundant and interlinks the four major cities of Cyprus – Nicosia, Limassol, Larnaca and Paphos.
Abroad, Cablenet has upgraded its international capacity to 10 Gbps.
Within cities, Cablenet operates a wholly-owned pioneering Hybrid Fibre Coaxial (HFC) cable network. The HFC networks are classified as Next Generation Access Networks (NGANs) and may offer broadband speeds that reach 200Mbps per connection and support multiple high resolution TV channels (High Definition).
In addition, the integrated solutions offered by Cablenet’s many technologies, maximize the value of all levels of business customers, whether small, medium or large companies. Even though Cablenet is a late entrant in the market, it has accomplished in a very short time interval to pioneer through the most advanced technological infrastructure and well-trained staff, introducing innovative applications of modern technology into the Cypriot market.
