About wapTV: Nigeria's family entertainment channel wapTV launched on the 1st October 2012. wapTv is set to revolutionize the viewing habits of the Nigerian family.

It promises to be a fully entertaining channel that will have its viewers glued to the screen hour after hour with something for every member of the family with shows like KooKooRooKoo; the breakfast show with numerous sections for all and various characters that will not only inform, but entertain as well as update the Viewers in an amusing, refreshing and comical manner that is new to the Nigerian scene.

It’s this freshness that the owners and management team of wapTv are bringing to the fore through this new venture which started as a dream over 27years ago for the owner who trusted in God and decided to use his talents and abilities to develop this dream.

The Journey began with his magazines, Ikebe super, Superstory, Binta [&] Friends, all of which were of tremendous success and sold in excess of half a million copies per edition. Then came the next stage, a comedy series Papa Ajasco on Celluloid in 1983, then Binta My Daughter on home video in 1985. Shortly after Papa ajasco series was put on TV and attracted such a huge following exceeding the popularity generated by the initial magazine.

Next came various Television dramas such as superstory, Thislife and Oddworld to name a few and the much acclaimed Nnenna and Friends TV show a kiddies show which is continually pushing the boundaries and setting new levels for Children's entertainment in Nigeria.

The name wap is synonymous with quality, entertainment, humor but most of all its fun, fun, fun, for all the family and this is what WapTV is bringing to this industry. Hence the birth of wapTV, an actualization and necessary evolution of wap, WALE ADENUGA PRODUCTIONS
