Julia Kowalski talks about her short film, ‘I Saw the Face of the Devil’. This gripping short film, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival's “Directors’ Fortnight”, has recently been honored with two prestigious awards at the Clermont Ferrand International Film Festival: the Grand Prize of the National Competition and the France Télévisions Grand Prize.
Set in the quiet backdrop of Kościerzyna, Poland, the film follows 18-year-old Majka as she grapples with what she believes is demonic possession. Her journey leads her to Father Marek Rogala, an exorcist priest, and together they delve into the spiritual and psychological unknown.
